My Roots
Aanya is the great-granddaughter of the legendary actress Lalita Pawar, who worked in Indian cinema for over 50 years and appeared in more than 700 films. A Guinness World Record holder, her legacy continues to inspire Aanya, showing the impact one can make through artistry despite life's challenges. Even today, Aanya is often recognized by her legacy and takes pride in carrying the name that connects her to the remarkable women in her family.
Aanya’s grandfather, a renowned film producer, produced the film Manzil, featuring the timeless song "Rim Jhim Gire Saawan." This song, still celebrated today, is so iconic that the very essence of Mumbai monsoon remains incomplete without it.
